Many teenagers make poor choices when it comes to their eating and exercise habits. As a result, obesity has become a major crisis for today’s youth.
The Hardin County Public Library plans to help combat this problem by launching a project called Fitness in Today's Teens (F.I.T.T.). As part of this initiative, the library plans to:
Purchase books and audio-visual materials that discuss health, nutrition, and exercise
Subscribe to a health and wellness database
These books may be found in the Young Adult Nonfiction and Adult Nonfiction sections. In addition, the library has subscribed to the Teen Health & Wellness Database created by Rosen Publishing.
