Rene Hutcheson is a native of Hopkinsville, Kentucky and is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Alabama with a BS degree in Communications. She earned her MLIS in 1998, also from the University of Alabama. Rene is a member of the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce. She is the newly elected Secretary of the Kentucky Public Library Association and also serves on the KPLA Conference Planning Committee. Rene is involved with the Hardin County United Project and serves on the Education Subcommittee. She is a member of St. James Catholic Church. Rene is an advocate of public libraries and believes that they are the heart of their communities. HCPL offers up to date resources, programming and materials for everyone.
