Library Hours...
Library New Expanded Hours starting Monday, April 5
The library will now open Monday thru Thursday, 9-6 pm, Friday 9-5 pm and Saturday 9-3 pm.
We are so grateful that you have
been supportive of the new way we have been providing services and materials to
you. We are ready to open but still need
your patience and understanding since our service will look a bit different. Masks are recommended but no longer required when entering the building. Hand sanitizer available in lobby and throughout library.
Per government guidelines, we must
limit the number of people who can be in the Library at any one time. In order
to allow as many visitors access to the building as possible, we are providing
quick services such as:
- Grab
and go browsing of items
- 30
minutes of public computer use, but for your safety, staff will not be
able to assist you.
- Quick
reference assistance and reader’s advisory
- Copy,
scan and fax services
- Library
card applications
- Wi
fi available with your own device, 30 minute time limit
Depending on the number of people
visiting at any one time, there may be a wait to get into the building.
Additionally, you may notice the furniture has been moved. Due to occupancy
limits per governmental guidelines, during this phase of the Library’s
reopening, our focus is on allowing patrons to quickly come in and complete
their business. However, if you need the assistance of a chair, please ask
a staff member.
Overdue fines will not be charged
until July 1st. Please continue to use our bookdrop for returned
items.
Curbside is available at the library, Monday thru Thursday, 9 to 6 pm and Friday, 9 to 5 pm and Saturday, 9 to 3 pm. Call 270.769.6337 to reserve items
or you may place holds with your Atriuum account on our website.
We are still offering online
materials through Overdrive and Libby as well as access to our databases.
We are getting our bookmobile back
on the road for contact free drop off porch service. Our regular patrons will
be contacted by our bookmobile librarian for scheduling.
Our outreach librarian will be picking up book kits from child care centers soon and looking at rescheduling services to them in a different manner.
Unfortunately, we still have to say no to a few of our services such as browsing magazines, newspapers, meeting room use, study room use, and genealogy room use. At this time we can’t allow tutoring, or AARP tax help.
